Social Worker

• Attend Monday evening classes from6:00-8:00 p.m. on a rotating schedule approximately every three weeks.
• Good observation and diagnostic skills
• Ability to create an action plan for veterans in the program in order to help them meet their goals
• Work cooperatively within a team of dedicated volunteers
• Creative, positive and have the ability to adapt to various styles of learning
• Submit written report after each class to provide useful knowledge and observations to the rest of the team
• Follow-up support for veterans as needed
• Computer and email proficiency
• Previous experience required
  
   

Sewing

• We are looking for a volunteer with sewing skills to attach patches to our service and training vests, adapt vests to meet specific individual needs of the veterans and potentially create new vests as the need arises.
• Volunteers can be proficient in any or all of the above items.
